Vineyard Inn Hotel Sonoma, Sonoma

I never thought the hotel would be this good considering the price, but I was pleasantly surprised by the marble bathroom, soft leather and wrought-wire chairs, and the ample continental breakfast. However, there was a bit of a musty smell that lingered around.

Despite being located near Hwy 121, the hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms but with a mildew smell. The presence of amenities like a refrigerator, microwave, and ice is a plus, although the TV channels are limited. The service is exceptional, despite minor issues like leakages being noted in some rooms. The location is convenient for exploring Sonoma and Napa, but the busy highway intersection can be noisy. The dining experience is basic but offers good choices, particularly fresh local fish.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated and filled with delicious breakfast options like cheeses, bagels, English muffins, and fresh fruit, all included in the rate. However, the rooms were a bit small and slightly shabby, feeling a bit overpriced. The location was perfect for our trip, close to downtown Sonoma and ideal for a quiet getaway.
